Here we are looking roughly west, from the eastern edge of the Superstition
Wilderness Area, into the more gentle but less visited part of the range. This
is the drainage area of West Pinto Creek, and it actually contains some land suitable for
farming and ranching.
The picture was taken from a high point near the end of the long, narrow,
dirt road which leads to one of the only trailheads at this end of the mountains.
