This is one of the most colorful pieces of petrified wood I've ever
seen. According to Gus, it is a chunk of what is believed to be the second largest
(nine feet in diameter, ~3m) petrified tree in the world, and was found near Snowflake,
Arizona. He believes the largest known petrified tree was found in or near
Yellowstone National Park, in Wyoming / Montana, and it was eleven feet (~3.6m) wide.

the Sun" for more view locations.
