Saguaro Lake is a popular boating and swimming area just
east of the Phoenix metropolitan area. A man-made reservoir, it is formed on the
Salt River (Rio Salado), behind Stewart Mountain Dam. It is the lowest of the four
reservoirs in the Salt River Canyon, along the north side of the Superstition Mountains.
This picture was taken along the Butcher Jones Trail, on a very
quiet day. Be warned, it is not always this serene!
