Pinnacle Peak (approximately 3100 ft elevation,
~945 m) is an easily seen landmark in north Scottsdale, Arizona. One of the more
prominent peaks in the McDowell Mountains, it dominates the spectacular view from the
lounge / balcony at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort.
, readily recognized by the way it
weathers into boulders, spires, and other weird shapes, makes up much of this mountain
range. A Palo Verde tree in bloom, at left, adds more color to an already
striking landscape.
