This brick wall at the garden was once part of a building located in downtown Phoenix, and this remnant is now preserved at the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" Museum.
Gus Brethauer has transported stones, bricks, and building materials from all over the Phoenix area to his land, and has reassembled some of them to resemble portions of the original structures.
I learned things about Phoenix I had never heard before, such as the fact that there used to be an "underground sidewalk" along part of Central Avenue.
He has moved literally tons of stone to create this "walk through time".  There is so much to see along his trail that an entire day is not enough to take it all in.
Return to the map of "Rock Art in the Valley of the Sun" for more view locations.
