Bartlett Lake is a man-made reservoir on the Verde River, northeast of Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona.  Popular with local boaters and campers, the lake provides a welcome oasis amidst the summer heat of the Sonoran Desert.
   A variety of geological formations occur in the vicinity, and they include , rocks,  , and  .
   This view looks to the southeast, and you can see the marina on the nearby shore.  The reservoir is approximately 12 miles (19km) long, and has a shoreline of about 33 miles (53km).
