The Dutchman's Trail winds its way through this valley, just to the east of Peralta Canyon, in the west end of the Superstition Mountains Wilderness Area.  You can see a veritable forest of Saguaro cacti in this easterly-looking view.
   Once again, most of the rocks you see here are composed of fused volcanic ash, erupted during the .  In the distance, you can see layers within the ash formations, which are known as tuffs.
