Tucked away on a little side street in Phoenix's Sunnyslope District is the Sunnyslope Rock Garden -- a creation of Mr. Grover Cleveland Thompson.
   Starting in the 1950's, he spent 22 years building a fantasy world of rocks, concrete figures, miniature buildings, and fountains in the front yard of his home.
   My introduction to rock gardens in the Phoenix area began with this place, now owned and cared for by Ms. Marion Blake.
   Incorporated into the garden's three major sections are over 50 structures and about 50 human characters.
